Transitional Council Foreign Affairs discusses political process with Ambassador of Republic of China

Deputy Head of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, Mohammad Al-Ghaithi, held a video meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Kang Yong.
The meeting reviewed developments in the political and economic situation, and various files related to the Riyadh Agreement, and discussed the comprehensive political process, and the humanitarian and health situation.
Al-Ghaithi stressed the importance of an inclusive political process, in which the South participates through its representative, the Transitional Council, in all its stages, including setting the appropriate framework for a comprehensive and implementable political process, stressing at the same time the importance of the role of China in supporting peace, development, economy and public services, and stressing to improve the conditions of the citizens and alleviate their suffering, pointing to the historical ties that link the people of the South with the friendly Chinese people.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador appreciated the Council’s stance and support to complete the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, and reiterated his country’s position in supporting a comprehensive peace process in our country.
