Transitional Council in Shabwa condemns assassination targeted governorate’s defense forces

The local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Shabwa governorate condemned the heinous terrorist crime of assassinating Captain Abu Bakr Salem Abu Bakr, commander of the second battalion in the first brigade, Shabwa Defense, and his escort Abdullah Mohammed Ali Saleh, on Wednesday, in Karmoum area of Nisab district.
The Southern Transitional Council in Shabwa expressed its condemnation of the cowardly terrorist operation, in light of the efforts of the Governor of Shabwa, Sheikh Awad bin Al-Wazir, to mobilize all powers to enhance security and stability and push the wheel of change and development in the governorate, to turn a painful page from the history of Shabwa and move towards the future.
It stressed that the goal of the terrorist operation is to obstruct and thwart the project to enable the people of Shabwa to manage their affairs and benefit from their wealth, and to drag the governorate into the square of chaos, stressing that the forces of terrorism will not succeed in their endeavor.
The local leadership of the council sent its sincere condolences to the governor of Shabwa and the families of the two martyrs, expressing great pain for this great affliction, in which Shabwa and Nisab district lost two of its finest youth.
