Transitional Council Presidency member, Shatara meets Operations Director of Geneva Call

The member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council; ; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Mr. Lotfi Jaafar Shatara, met on Wednesday, with Mr. Hisham Kaddouri, Director of Operations at Geneva Call.

In the meeting, which was attended by Brigadier General Kamal Jawad Hamshari, Director of the Office of the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Shatara praised the role that the organization plays in the south and the existing cooperation between the Council and the organization and its contribution to training security agencies on the standards of international humanitarian law and dealing accordingly.

Shatara confirmed the Council’s readiness to provide all means of support required for the organization to carry out its awareness programs among the target groups in its activities.

For his part, the Director of Geneva Call’s operations expressed his happiness for the great and distinguished cooperation that the Transitional Council has with the international organization in carrying out its duties to the fullest, and in accordance with the programs set for it to spread awareness of humanitarian law among the members of the military units.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Dina Al-Mamoun, Head of Mission of the Geneva Call Organization in the capital Aden.
