Transitional Council representative in Geneva discusses cooperation with United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights

Counselor Abd al-Rahman al-Musibli, representative of the Transitional Council in Geneva, met with Ms. Sarah Noble, official in charge of the Yemeni file at the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, in the presence of Mr. Raynoud Dital, Director of the Office of the High Commissioner in Yemen, and Mr. Geum Sharron, representative of Independent Diplomats organization.
In the meeting, which took place via video call, Counselor Al-Masibli briefed the representatives of the High Commissioner on the human rights situation in the South, indicating to them all the violations committed by the Brotherhood militia, as well as the attacks of the Houthi militia, and the terrorist acts carried out by extremist groups.
The counselor explained the suffering of citizens due to the deterioration of living conditions and the denial of life services, including electricity and water, failure to receive salaries, deterioration of the currency and high prices, noting that this is a collective punishment, which would lead to destabilization of stability and security of citizens.
They also discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the Transitional Council and the High Commission for Human Rights to enhance human rights in the South and to enable citizens to enjoy their basic rights and freedoms.
