UAE builds a solar station in Shabwa

The Assistant Undersecretary of Shabwa Governorate, Salem Ahmed Shamah Al-Nasi, signed a contract for a project to establish a solar power station with a capacity of 53 megawatts in Shabwa, presented as a special gift from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The project’s annexes include a night storage system, a transformer station, and high-voltage lines with a capacity of (KV33) and a length of 19 km, and it is being implemented by the “International Electromega Projects” company.

During the signing ceremony, Governorate Undersecretary Salem Al-Nasi expressed the governorate’s local authority’s appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and to the government and people of the UAE for the continued and generous support for Shabwa Governorate.

He pointed out that the project is a wonderful model and a result of joint cooperation and coordination and in support of the efforts of the local authority in Shabwa Governorate, headed by Governor Bin Al-Wazir, to alleviate the suffering of citizens and achieve sustainable development.
