UAE Holds the 6th Mass Wedding for 200 Brides in Hadhramaut
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Al-Mukla – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Under the patronage of his highness Sheikh Mohamed Be Zaid Al Nuhaian, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy of Supreme Commander of Emirati Armed Forces, and as part of the events of “Year of Zaid” Festival, the sixth mass wedding, the second for Hadhramaut, was held in Al-Makla on Friday August 31st, 2018, for 200 brides and grooms from Al-Shuhur, Al-Ghil, Al-Dubs east, Al-Ridah and Kusaier.
Thw wedding was held in Professor Ali Houd Ba Abbad’s hall with the attendance of UAE Red Crescent’s delegation, Genearl Garag Salmeen Al-Ba Hasani, governor of Hadhramaut and commander of the second military zone, deputies and consultants of Hadhramaut’s governor, Brigadeir Muneer Al-Tamimi, chief of Hadhramaut Police Department, general directors of directorates, a number of local authority officials and a large crowd of city citizens and families of brides and grooms.
Governor Al-Ba Hasani thanked UAE and UAE Red Crescent for their generous support provided to Hadhramaut and congratulated the brides and grooms for their new lives. He also asserted the importance of solidarity among Yemeni community in the governorate to stand against any projects that may disturb Hadhramaut’s tranquility, stability and security. He demanded citizens to be patriots and to nurture their sons and daughters on patriotism.
Mohamed Obaid Al-Shamesi, representative of UAE Red Crescent, expressed his happiness for the wedding wishing the married couples to live a joyful life full of work and happiness as life never ends in spite of tragedies and suffering in the society and the whole country that resulted from the Yemeni crisis. He indicated that this was the second mass wedding held in Hadhramaut and the sixth in Yemen as another eight Yemeni governorates will host such weddings. He added that mass weddings came according to directions of his highness Sheikh Mohamed Be Zaid Al Nuhaian, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy of Supreme Commander of Emirati Armed Forces as part of “Year of Zaid” Festival as the late Sheikh Zaid always recommended Yemen for good. He hoped that the Yemeni crisis may end soon.
Several bands participated in the wedding party and a number of them presented items that thanked UAE. Major artists including Mahfouz Ben Brik, Abdu Ba Kulais and Said Brik participated in the wedding. Brides and grooms expressed their joy and happiness for this mass wedding.
