UAE Red Crescent Inspects Constructions of Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Blood Bank in Ibn Sina Hospital – Al-Makla

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Al-Makla – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]U[/su_dropcap]AE Red Crescent team in Hadhramaut inspected constructions of maintenance and rehabilitation of Blood Bank in Ibn Sina hospital in Al-Makla – Hadhramaut. The agreement, among 7 others for improving health care and humanitarian services in Hadhramaut, was signed last May.
The team, headed by Hamid Rashed Al-Shamasy, inspected the first stage of restoration and maintenance (constructions). This stage is expected to end by this week so that the second stage of providing equipment and medications will start.
Eng. Mohamed Al-Amoudi, deputy governor for technical affairs, and several engineers of the Red Crescent and project engineers accompanied the visit and provided details about constructions done according to project research and designs.
Hamid Rashed Al-Shamasy, representative of UAE Red Crescent in Hadhramaut, indicated that this project will be done according to several stages starting with constructions, followed by maintenance of equipment and finally the stage of providing new equipment, medications and medical solvents. He asserted that UAE Red Crescent is committed with finalizing improvement projects of health care sector in Hadhramaut on time to improve health care services for citizens and neighboring governorates.
It is noteworthy that UAE Red Crescent signed seven projects last May for supporting and improving health care sector in Hadhramaut as nearly three million citizens of eastern governorates (Hadhramaut – Shabwa – Al-Mehra – Socotra) will benefit from these projects. The agreements include rehabilitating Blood Bank of Ibn Sina hospital that provides its services for citizens of the four governorates as the only specialized center for blood analysis and blood types. The projects also include maintenance of Al-Shuhur public hospital and Gheel Ba Wazir hospital in addition to Eastern Al-Rida hospital in Al-Rida directorate and Kusai’ar health care center in Kusai’ar. On Saturday June 22nd, 2019 another new agreement was signed for maintaining eastern Al-Dis hospital in Hadhramaut.
