UN official visits Tawahi: Citizens’ needs need time to reach their approval for funding and implementation

Eng. Kutbi Omar Kutbi, Director-General of the Tawahi District, met on Sunday, Mr. Wayne, the representative of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs (UNDP), and with him, Amira Qaid Hamid, a follow-up and evaluation officer at the Horizons Youth Foundation, in the presence of Ali Ahmed Al-Nimri, head of the community committees in the capital, Aden, and Saeed Al-Shaibani, Secretary-General of the local authority in Tawahi District, and Abdul Rahman Al-Shaawi, deputy head of the community committees in the capital, Aden, and Abdul Aziz Abdul Qawi, head of the community committees in Tawahi district, and Abdullah Hajeb, deputy head of the committees in the district.
Mr. Wayne, the United Nations Representative for Humanitarian Affairs (UNDP), expressed his happiness for the explanation he heard from the General Director of Tawahi district and the leadership of the community committees in the capital, Aden, and its districts, about the activities of the community committees in the district of Tawahi and the great strides these committees have achieved and positive actions that contributed to resolving the citizens’ social and service issues, stressing that the next stage will witness the support of donors in implementing the citizens’ needs proposed by the local authority and community committees only need to a time frame for reaching its approval for funding and implementation.
