Under directions of #President_Al-Zubaidi… # Transitional Council_in Socotra transports 300 people from Hadramout and Al-Mahra
The Southern Transitional Council ensured the transfer of 300 people of Socotra to their land, as they were stuck outside the island, due to the suspension of flights, and the governmental authorities disclaiming its role to transfer them to their homes.
The local leadership of the Transitional Council in the governorate of Socotra, and under the direction of the President of the Southern Transitional Council, provided 3 marine ships in the port of Al-Shehr to transport the people of Socotra of students, women and the elderly, who got stuck in the governorates of Hadramaut and Al-Mahrah to Socotra governorate.
The Transitional Council move came after appeals by activists, media and writers from Socotra’s citizens for urgent intervention to transport those stuck outside the governorate back.
In a brief statement to the head of the local leadership of the Transitional Council in the governorate of Socotra Archipelago, Yahya Mubarak Saeed, affirmed the keenness of the Transitional Council Leadership and its follow-up to reach the stuck people unharmed.
Saeed said that the Transitional Council leadership worked by all available means, to arrange the transported people’s needs during their trip, including food, drink, and preventive measures from the Corona virus, to ensure their safe arrival.
