Under patronage of President Al-Zubaidi, Shabwa Governorate celebrates 62nd anniversary of glorious October 14 Revolution

Shabwa Governorate, on Wednesday, celebrated the 62nd anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution, and the commemoration anniversary of the martyrdom of Colonel Ahmed Mohsen Al-Sulaymani, former Chief of Staff of the First Shabwa Defense Brigade, , with a speech ceremony was held in the city of Ataq, which was held under the generous patronage of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council.
During the ceremony, Sheikh Lahmar Ali Lasoud, head of the Executive Authority of the Southern Transitional Council’s Local Leadership in Shabwa Governorate, conveyed President Al-Zubaidi’s greetings to the people of the governorate. He noted that the October 14 Revolution represented a turning point in the history of South Arabia, emphasizing that the South today possesses the political, popular, and military power that makes the just cause of its people an unassailable number.
Sheikh Lahmar expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the leadership of the Arab Coalition, represented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, for their steadfast stances alongside the people of the South in their battle against the Houthi militias. He praised the sacrifices of their martyrs who fell in defense of the Arab project against Persian ambitions.
The head of the Shabwa Transitional Council Executive Council recalled the virtues of the martyred fighter, Al-Suleimani, who confronted the Houthi militias on the Bayhan and Al-Musayna’a fronts. He was an example of sacrifice and loyalty to the homeland until he was martyred on this day last year at the hands of treachery and terrorism. He called for strengthening the unity of the Shabwani and southern ranks, emphasizing that history will not be merciful to those who seek to incite sedition and tear apart the national fabric.
In turn, the Assistant Undersecretary of Shabwa Governorate and member of the Transitional Council’s Advisory Council, Sheikh Ali Mohsen Al-Sulaimani, delivered a speech in which he expressed his pride in commemorating the October 14 Revolution, which coincides with the anniversary of the martyrdom of the heroic leader Ahmed Mohsen Al-Sulaimani. He emphasized that the coincidence of the two events embodies the meanings of sacrifice and redemption. He praised the large popular and official turnout witnessed in the governorate in commemoration of his memory, extending his thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the event, most notably the Governor, Sheikh Awad bin Al-Wazir.
The ceremony featured a variety of artistic and cultural performances, including patriotic anthems, poetry recitals, theatrical performances by the Qadisiyah Arts and Theater Troupe, and a show by the governorate’s young women, all of which drew great interaction from the audience.
