Under the directives of President Al-Zubaidi…Relief and Humanitarian Aid Authority of STC launches sending food baskets to needy families in Socotra

The Relief and Humanitarian Aid Authority of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC)launched the process of sending 2,900 food baskets to needy families in Socotra Governorate, under the directives of President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and with the support of the United Arab Emirates.

During the inauguration, which was attended by Mr. Munif Al-Jafari, Director of the Organizational Department of the Transitional Council Executive Body in Aden the capital, and a number of the Authority’s leadership, Lawyer Niran Souqi, Head of the Relief and Humanitarian Aid Authority, expressed her thanks to President Al-Zubaidi for his continued support for relief efforts in the southern governorates, extending her thanks to the United Arab Emirates for its constant support and continued assistance to the people of the South.

For his part, Major General Salem Al-Socotri, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, praised the efforts of all workers in the Relief and Humanitarian Aid Authority for their keenness to deliver aid to those who need it as quickly as possible in Socotra, stressing the importance of this food aid in alleviating the suffering of the families targeted in Socotra Governorate.

This food aid comes within the framework of efforts made to alleviate the suffering of needy families in Socotra, especially in light of the difficult circumstances facing the country coinciding with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
