Upon his arrival to Mukalla with President Al-Zubaidi… Major General bin Brik: “The 6th session of the Assembly has positive impact with successive victories of STC and the South”

The President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, accompanied by Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice-President of the STC, Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) of the Council, and with them a number of members of the Presidency of the STC, arrived on Thursday, at Al-Rayyan Airport in the city of Mukalla, coming from the capital, Aden, in order to participate in the inauguration of the 6th session of the National Assembly, which will be held during the period 21-22 May 2023 in Hadramout governorate.
Upon his arrival in Mukalla, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik made a statement in which he affirmed the happiness to be in Hadramout to inaugurate the convening of the 6th session of the National Assembly, stressing that it will have a very positive impact with the successive victories of the STC and the South in general, especially with the recent accelerated events after the Consultative Meeting of the Southern components and the process of restructuring STC.
Major General bin Brik said that the National Assembly will determine through its sessions the road map for the future of the South and the new policy that the STC will adopt within the framework of openness to all of the South and its components, stressing that it is for the first time, in history of the South, this harmony and cohesion has been achieved for southerners through the whole South from end to end, as the beginning was in the consultative meeting, and the approval of the agreement document that was signed by more than 37 southern components, indicating that this is the first and essential stage, and the rest of the southern components, parties and personalities will join within it in the coming days.
Major General bin Brik, in his statement, stressed that with this agreement and this principle we removed the tendency of internal conflict which was as a result of the one-party dictatorship, and today the STC is leading a broad dialogue among all Southerners with their various orientations on the basis that the homeland is for everyone, and all southerners must participate in building all of its pillars.
At the end of his statement, the Vice-President of the STC, Chairman of the National Assembly, welcomed the agreement that emerged from the consultative meeting of the Southern political components, and all those who joined the STC, expressing his blessing for all of these steps, concluding by saying that the course of the 6th session of the National Assembly will focus on this foundation, and therefore it will determine the directions and the actual road map to be followed by the STC, its institutions, and all the people of the South.
