Al-Hilal maintained its winning streak by defeating Al-Fateh 2-0, extending its lead in the Saudi Professional League to 32 points. The victory was secured through goals from the Serbian player Mitrović and Salem Al-Dawsari.
Salem Al-Dawsari, the recipient of the Best Player in Asia award, played a significant role in the match held at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Ahsa. He earned an early penalty, which Mitrović converted into a goal in the third minute. Al-Dawsari then added a second goal, skillfully bypassing defenders.
Mitrović’s personal goal tally in the top scorers’ list reached nine after his contribution to the victory against Al-Fateh.
In another match in Hail, Al-Tai and Al-Fayha concluded with a thrilling 3-3 draw, witnessing dramatic events and score fluctuations between the two teams. Al-Fayha took an early lead with a goal by Nwakaeme in the 15th minute. Al-Tai equalized through Roco before taking the lead with a remarkable comeback, securing a 3-1 lead at halftime with goals from Rakan Al-Shamlan and Bernard Mensah.
Al-Fayha woke up in the second half, narrowing the gap to 3-2 in the 67th minute with Onyekuru’s goal. Sakala, the Zambian player, then leveled the score in the 70th minute.
Al-Fayha earned 15 points, while Al-Tai accumulated 11 points, seeking to continue their winning streak at home but falling short in this fixture.
