Elche ended Real Madrid’s winning streak, which lasted for five rounds, with a positive draw (1-1) during the two teams’ confrontation, this evening, Wednesday, in the framework of the 16th round of La Liga.

For Real Madrid, Luka Modric scored in the 20th minute, while Fidel Chavez scored Elche’s goal from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute.

With this draw, Real Madrid raised its score to 33 points in second place, compared to 16 points in Elche’s quiver in fifteenth place.
