“Aden Premier League” competition for the clubs of the capital, Aden, started on Sunday afternoon, at the Martyr Al-Hubaishi Stadium, in the presence of Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, and members of the Presidency, Mr. Moamen Al-Saqqaf, and Mr. Abdul-Raouf Al-Saqqaf.
Aden Premier League is held under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council, represented by the Department of Youth and Sports, and the Minister of State, Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, and with the support of Al-Busiri Microfinance Bank, under the organization of the Football Association branch and the supervision of the Youth and Sports Office in the capital, Aden.
The opening ceremony of the league, which was attended by a number of the leadership of the Transitional Council, witnessed carnival performances, traditional singing performances of Aden art, and the painting of a show that expressed the history and authenticity of sports in Aden.
The Aden Premier League competitions, in which the clubs of the capital Aden – Al-Tilal, Al-Wahda, Al-Shu’la, Shamsan, Al-Mansoura, Al-Rawda, Al-Nasr, Al-Mina’, Al-Jalaa and Al-Jazira – participate in the home and away matches will last until February of next year.
