In presence of the Assistant Secretary-General of STC .. Finals of Armed Forces and Southern Security Football Championship kick off

The finals of the Armed Forces and Southern Security Championship 2025 kicked off on Wednesday, at Badr Camp Stadium in the capital, Aden, in the presence of Mr. Abdo Al-Naqeeb, Assistant Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC).
The first matches of the final of the championship, which is held under the patronage of President Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, witnessed the presence of Brigadier Ibrahim Qaed, Head of the Financial and Administrative Department of the Armed Forces, and Professor Al-Karihi Kanaan, Head of the Youth and Sports Department, along with a number of military and security leaders, between the “Southern Giants Forces” and “Special Forces” teams.
The opening match of the final of the championship ended with the victory of the “Southern Giants Forces” over the “Special Forces” team, on penalty kicks in favor of the Giants (7-6), after the regular time ended in a draw (1-1).
At the end of the match, the Assistant Secretary-General presented the award for the best player in the match to the captain of the Southern Giants team, player Abdullah Abdul Salam.
The tournament will witness the participation of 32 teams representing various southern military and security units.
