Poland completes the Euro 2024 qualifiers

Poland national team, on Tuesday, completed the qualifiers for the European Nations Championship (Euro 2024) this summer in Germany, following its marathon victory on penalties (5-4) over Wales national team at its home in the final qualifying play-off for the tournament at the first level.

Poland succeeded in seizing the qualification ticket from the heart of Cardiff Stadium in the Welsh capital, amid a huge crowd in the stands.

The decision did not come between the players of the two teams, neither in the actual two halves of the match, nor even after the extension for two additional halves. The winning was in the penalty shootout, which gave the team mates of Robert Lewandowski the qualification ticket with a score of (5-4), after Juventus goalkeeper, Szczesny, saved the fifth and decisive kick. .

This is the fifth time in a row that Poland gets qualified for the European Nations, and its best achievement in the tournament is reaching the quarter-finals in the 2016 edition, which was hosted by France.

The Polish team will go directly to Group 4, which includes France, the Netherlands, and Austria.

On the other hand, the Welsh team failed to obtain a pass to the Euro for the third time in a row, after being present in the last two editions: 2016 in France, and 2020, which were held in a combined manner in several European countries.
