Saudi National Team Beats Argentina and Ends Its Historic Unbeaten Streak

The Saudi national team defeated Argentine 2-1, snapping an unbeaten record that had lasted more than three years, in the match played between the two teams on Tuesday in their match of FIFA World Cup 2022 at Lusail Stadium in Doha of Qatar.
Lionel Messi progressed Argentina with a goal from the penalty kick before Saleh Al-Shehri and Salem Al-Dawsari scored two goals for Saudi Al-Akhdar (the Greens) in the second half to give them their first victory of the current World Cup.
The Argentine national team completed its campaign in the South American World Cup qualifying tournament without a loss, extending its streak of games without defeat to 36 straight, with 25 wins and 11 draws.
The Italian national team, which went 37 games without losing between 2018 and 2021, held the previous record, which the Argentine national team was one game away from matching.
It is worth noting that Argentina won all four World Cup matches in which it faced Asian teams before its defeating against the Saudi national team.
In the 1990 World Cup, Argentina lost its opening match against Cameroon. Argentina has since won six opening matches and tied one.
The Saudi national team played against Argentina in 4 matches, losing twice while drawing the other two.
