Sweden Conquers Italy and Qualifies for Russia Mondial of 2018
The Swedish soccer national team snatched his qualification ticket to Russia Mondial of 2018 after negative draw with the Italian national team in Milan. Sweden defeated Italy in Stockholm last Friday with 1-0. This will be the first time in 60 years for the Italian national team to be absent from the Mondial finals since 1958 when Italy failed to qualify to Stockholm Mondial. This will be the second time for the Swedish national team to be in the Mondial as its last qualification was in 2006. Sweden is the 12th European team to qualify and the last ticket will be decided on after Denmark/Ireland Match, who negatively drew in Dublin earlier. Switzerland and Croatia followed France, Portugal, Germany, Serbia, Poland, England, Spain, Belgium, Iceland in addition to Russia, the hosting country. Number of qualified national teams increased to 28 in addition to Russia.
