Yemen beat Brunei Darussalam 9-0 in AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 qualifiers

Yemen completed a double over Brunei Darussalam, cruising to a 9-0 win in their AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ Qualifiers Final Round Group B tie on Tuesday.
Nasser Mohammedoh’s five goals set the tone for the emphatic finish as Yemen kept pace with Lebanon, who were victorious against Bhutan.

Brunei Darussalam held their own in the opening exchanges but Yemen showed early determination to take the lead through Mohammedoh in the 12th minute.

Yemen capitalised on their sustained pressure with Zakho SC midfielder Mohammedoh doubling his tally in the 27th minute with a composed finish.

Omar Al Dahi added Yemen’s third a minute later to give the West Asian side a comfortable lead going into the break.

Brunei Darussalam struggled to create chances and fell further behind in the 51st minute with Mohammedoh completing his hat-trick with Al Dahi then setting up the 26-year-old for his fourth four minutes later.

The goals continued to pour in through Abdulaziz Masnom (62nd), Al Dahi (64th), Mohammedoh (73rd) and Abdul Majeed Sabarah (90+1) as Yemen capped an emphatic win.

Yemen will aim to continue their winning momentum when they face Bhutan on Matchday Five with Brunei Darussalam meeting Lebanon on November 18.
