Ali Al-Kathiri, the spokesperson for the Southern Transitional Council, said, “Operation Tornado of the South completed the liberation of the three districts of Shabwa, Bayhan, Usaylan and Ain, and now it has the task of securing the governorate and liberated districts, and launching another operation is expected because the Arab coalition and we are part of this coalition, our goal is to confront the militias and end and defeat the Iranian expansion in the region in general, not only in Yemen or in the South.

He added, in his speech to a TV channel, “The operation that was announced today is one that has many dimensions, whether with regard to the military, humanitarian and developmental dimensions, and we are waiting for many details on it, but in the first place we, in the Southern Transitional Council, are a key partner of the Arab coalition, and just as the brothers in UAE and Saudi Arabia sacrificed, we are also sacrificing in the context of fighting the expansionist project that threatens all of us and the entire region.”
