SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The emergence of the Southern Transitional Council in May 2017 was not just a reaction to the dismissal of Major General Aidarous al-Zubaidi and a number of southern governors and ministers from their positions, as the media affiliated with the “legitimate” government claimed at the time.
These leaders had attained their positions as benefits for their qualities backed by popular support as well.
The founding of the Southern Transitional Council came as the culmination, conclusion, and outcome of long and loyal southern efforts to reach a strong and effective political bearer for the southern cause.
The establishment of the Southern Transitional Council was also based on the popular mandate for an unprecedented southern mobilization witnessed in the capital, Aden, on May 4, 2017, the largest in the history of the South so far, to mandate Aidarous Al-Zubaidi and to be authorized to make urgent consultations and announcing this political carrier.
Since its inception, the Southern Transitional Council has taken strong and escalating steps to form the strongest political, military and popular presence at home and the strongest diplomatic and media presence abroad.
The leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, headed by Major General Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, was able to overcome the most serious obstacles, internal and external conspiracies, and wars in all its forms of attempts to subjugate the South, All of which have failed due to the wisdom and steadiness of the leadership of the Council.
The presence of the mature and responsible Southern Transitional Council, especially its leader, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, was remarkable and overwhelmed the consultations and results of the Riyadh Declaration on April 7, 2022.
However, the current stage requires the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council to raise its readiness and performance, and to activate all the Council’s bodies to meet the challenges and benefits of the stage, in a way that serves firstly to save the people of the South from the consequences of the wars of services and salaries, and secondly to move forward towards achieving the restoration of the southern state.
The Southern Transitional Council still has to do a lot to attract more southern leaders and competencies, correct, reform and activate its bodies, and strike the dens of financial, administrative and moral corruption that has grown in the South by an active action since the 1994 war, and its enemy has increased even more during this long war.
The Southern Transitional Council is still in urgent and urgent need at this stage to build or activate its intelligence and media institutions, influential diplomatic work and public relations, which were among the most important weaknesses of the Council, given the long experience and the enormous capabilities of the opponents of the South.
